Mini Trunk Show at Stamping Details
Susan flew to San Diego to visit her parents. While she was there, she taught 4 classes and helped with a mini-trunk show at Stamping Details in Poway, California. If you live in or find yourself visiting Southern California, treat yourself to a visit there. DiAnn and her friendly staff will help you find whatever you need in their well-stocked store!
Classes were a hit!

Home Tweet Home Class
Recently went to Marietta Georgia to Rubber Stamp Fantasy for a trunk show and teaching. We had such a great time with Debbie and Gary Taratoot and their wonderful customers. I did an
evening of demonstrating and then three days of classes. Home Tweet Home was one of the classes we did. It is a double hinged canvas attached to a wooden house (thank you Bob for the great woodwork and assembly at the class). Birds was the theme with stamping, painting, collage, nests, twigs, birds, bird cages, and nesting. Everyones home turned out so well. Here are a few pictures from the class.

Time for Christmas
New Christmas Images
In the new supplement "A Pick Me Up" is a page of Christmas images that I have been having fun working up samples. I love that they work so well with the existing Christmas stamps we already have. The Grandfather Clock with the
mice are my favorite stamps today. I love Christmas, all that it stands for, and how people think of others.
May you have Happy Holidays in your future.

A Pick Me Up catalogue
The supplement is in the final stages.
"A Pick Me Up" is a beautiful catalogue with Christmas, Bird lore, vintage children, Silhouettes, and a great image of men to go with so many of our women. My mind is abuzz with ideas. Encouraging card to a friend, sympathy card, an arrangement of framed silhouette chairs, children, and women for my wall.
More to come.........

I have been frantically working on new images. It's like starting with a blank canvas, then the ideas start coming, weeding, making the supplement beautiful, and then WOW! Here's a sneak peak at a few images.

Michelle Bodensteiner's Creativity
Here are a couple of great dolls made by Michelle Bodensteiner using B Line Design Stamps in such a creative way. Michelle has a great eye for form, scale, and structure. Color pencils in her hands sing with a creaminess flow.
One of the things I love about allot of Michelle's art is the quirkiness or touch of fun mixed with class. Every detail is thought about and executed.
Hope these sample inspire you as they have me.

Color Penciling darker stamped areas
A dear friend of mine Michelle Bodensteiner taught me how to color dark areas of a stamp. Like most of you I assumed you would loose detail if you tried to color over a dark area. With color pencils (Berol Prisma Color is the brand I use the most) you can change an image greatly. Just find the right darker color to enhance the black. Works great on eyes, hair, flowers, and in this case a skirt.

Travel is on our minds
Summer, Travel, Cruises, Boating.......
Drop a note to friends who wish they could travel. Let them know your thinking of them and times spent together.
Stamp music repeadly on cream cardstock, stamp Thomas and Bundle of Memories on white cardstock. Shade the cream card stock with ink and a sponge. Color the letters
(which has the name of many of my friends in the return) with color pencils. Cut Thomas and envelopes out and adhere to the background. Finish with Memories.

Sweet Rides
We have a Car Cube TP300G that makes the best mans card in short order. Here I layered ochre card stock with black and white card stock that has been staded with a straw stamp pad. Over this stamp Diamond Bar SE217E in black. Stamp white card stock with two of the Car Cube blocks, color with color pencils or pens cut out and edge with black ink. Adhere to straw layer just over the Diamond Bar. Finish off with stamping Sweet Ride from the Sweet Rides quartet TP307F. The card is always appreciated and admired.

On maroon card stock stamp Crackle Background in lighter color then maroon then stamp postmark collage in a darker shade of maroon. Now stamp Perfect Faith in black, Droplets Strip (color in with white pen), and family (Heritage Quartet). On white card stock, Color Sheet #1, and a page from an old book stamp Open Book.
