Kelly Blachowiak has been stamping for 22 years. Besides cards and scrapbooking, she also loved mixed media and taught classes at various stamp and scrapbook stores. “Sadly, Kelly has been suffering from early onset Alzheimer’s and can no longer enjoy crafting. Her wonderful husband decided to honor Kelly by enlisting the help of two of Kelly’s dearest friends to help distribute her craft materials to friends of hers as well as others who would appreciate them and help spread her love of crafting.
Here is one of the art books of Kelly’s.
This is an altered child’s hard back book. The hard surface was gessoed to become a black slate.
Kelly then chose B Line Designs rubber stamps, scrapbook paper, fabrics and embellishments to make this beautiful fashion book. Kelly’s since of design and color created this gorgeous book.
B lines next post will be another sample of the art many of Kelly’s family and friends enjoy.

Travel Card
Travel Card
Travel is on the mind of many. This would make a great send off card for friends traveling.
The base card is a tan with Postcard Collage HF224G from Passport To Europe (PTE) p6 in black. The light turquoise layer was also stamped with Postcard Collage using a watermark pad. Next I stamped in black with London Cancellation UK102D PTE p20 and De Paris duo PR304G PTE p5. Set aside and stamp Passport TP433E from PTE p5 and Ben UK102D PTE p20 on white card stock. Color passport with Distress Inks (Fire Brick) and sponge. When dry cut them out. Stamp Bon Voyage TP439E PTE p1 on a tag. I used a vintage tag that I had stamped Old Neighbors TD031F from the Tattered Damask supplement p6 lightly in black or grey and then stamped the edges with Baroque Swirl TM317D from A Stitch in Time supplement p13 in a (Ochre shade). If you would like a copy of this just send me an email blineproduct@me.com and I will email you a copy of the stamped baggage ticket. Stamp Bon Voyage TP439E p1 in PTE (the ship) on the tag with black. Color with color pencils. Cut it out and layer your card. Happy travels

Thinking of You
When your thinking of someone special. Here is an elegant idea from Susan Mostek. She created this layered card using Saundra TD006F and My Friend TD007C (both from Tattered Damask p.2). Prisma color pencil with Gamsol odorless mineral spirits to blend the colors. Use a very smooth card stock, a blending stump (using a nail file to keep your point and remove color). Susan layered with a decorative paper and two shades of card stock. In the corners use gold plastic spacers (jewelry dept.)and brads for a bit of elegance. Complete the look with a contrasting decorative flower. Thank you, Susan for sharing your ideas and talent. Beverly

Childhood Garden
Childhood Garden FF419F with its sentiment and flowers makes a beautiful card. Michelle Bodensteiner has brought it to life with her beautiful color pencil work. Her selection of scrapbook paper, die cut edges, the use of the Belle Jardinere Seal FF423C and the bling just send it into a garden from the heart.

Were Back!!!!

Were are happy to say "We are Back!" I could give you a lot of excuses for being away so long (and there are good ones), but instead lets just move on. So many things are happening with
B Line Designs. We are working on a new supplement!! The title is "A Stitch in Time". It is about a love for sewing, the memories of those who sewed for us, fabrics, and trims. As soon as the supplement is finished I will post the pages. We have been working on samples and I am loving the way the designs are mixing together. Here is a delightful sample using a fabric background, Singer Diagram, a stitcher names loving stitches and part of a cube with the spools.

Rosemary Marino
Rosemary from South Carolina has sent some wonderful samples that I wanted to share with you. The top sample uses Tick, Tick, Tick stamped on card stock and spritzed for texture. Next she stamped on several colors of card stock that she cut out clock faces and layered so beautifully. The middle sample uses Wee Travelers, Manor Fence and snaps used in such a clever way with the punched flowers. The bottom sample incorporates Time Passages and Tick, Tick, Tick in subtle colors set off with a silver colored charm. Great Job Rosemary. Thank you!

Jewery and buttons
Jewelry can be added to your vignette or can be used as the base for your whole piece (pocket watch). What is junk to one person (yes my family has been instructed to call my friends when I pass because they think most of my findings are junk) is treasure to another. The pocket watch faces are cracked and brought the price down. I think it will just add charcter to the finished piece of art.
Vintage ladies wrist watches remind me of my mother and are making a home on a beautiful hand in my bedroom.
Flee market finds
Do you get an itch every so often to rummage through the tables at the local flee market or antique mall. Yesterday was just such a day for me and here are my finds and some ideas. The first purchase was tea cups and saucers. I am going to add some raffia in the bottom of the cup, a nice tea bag, then a couple of stamps, wrap in clear paper, and add a tag. Then send to a dear friend or a customer needing a door prize. They were $2 a set and very beautiful.

European Memories

In my youth I dreamt of traveling to Europe and beyond. The books I read and the pictures warmed my heart. Finally traveling, meeting the people, eating the foods, seeing the history, the art, and the architecture has only deepened my romance. To express this passion. ART
I hope you enjoy and dream!

CHA Supershow Anaheim 2010
The Craft Hobby Association (CHA) puts on a wholesale show twice a year for the stores to see and purchase the latest ideas and products. Last summer and this January they also had a retail show. We were invited to demonstrate and show our stamps with Stamping Details from Poway (San Diego). DiAnn put together a gathering of several designers Kevin Nakagawa of Stampscapes, Nathalie Metivier of Magenta, Micheal Strong Designs, Tracy Weinzapfel of Helmar, Candy Rusmisel of BC Ventures, and Susan Mostek and myself from B Line Designs.
We all had a grand time meeting so many fans of B Line Designs. Thank you to DiAnne and Michael for such a great time.
